Grenson, Ltd.
For centuries the county of Northamptonshire has been recognised as the home of the English shoemaker's art. When William Green founded our company in 1866 his overriding aim was to satisfy customers with the best shoes and boots made in England.
His philosophy was 'Quality First and Customer First' - and, nearly 140 years later, that pursuit of excellence is still undiminished. Grenson's craftsmen are still proud to display their skill as they handcraft shoes to the very highest standards.
Today a Grenson shoe is, as it always was intended to be, one of the finest examples of English shoe-making. In an age where, unfortunately, people as well as products are 'processed' Grenson can still radiate a unique and personal quality which translates into a customer experience of 'made, or done especially for me.'

Stanley started life as the son of Albert, a shoe that has been in our collection in various guises for over 80 years. He is a classic English brogue with a wing tip and full broguing. He is also an oxford as the vamp is laid on top of the quarters instead of underneath like a Gibson or Derby....

The gibson normally has five eyelets but ours is based on an old English style that was originally a twist on the classic. Sometimes called a "V" front because of the cut of the quarters this is a very elegant shoe.
